Welcome!
RAPID RIDE is the City of Rapid City's fixed route bus service. The service provides transportation to kids, seniors, persons with disabilities and the general public for school, work, shopping, medical and recreational trips throughout the City of Rapid City. The service is comprised of five routes which operate on 30 minute frequencies.
Hours of operation:
Monday through Friday - 6:30 AM through 6:30 PM
Saturday - 9:30 AM through 4:30PM

All drivers have coupons and passes available for your convenience
There is no service on the following holidays:
New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day
Ride Guide Information
Transfers
Transfers enable you to continue your trip on another bus, but cannot be used for stopovers or return trips. All transfers are made at the Milo Barber Transportation Center.
Schedules
Detailed schedules are available showing the approximate times for each route our buses will travel. Schedules show a map of the route with the time checkpoints along the way.
The Bus Stop
The next step in catching your bus is locating the nearest bus stop on your route. All of our designated stops are marked with bus stop signs. Stand by the signs and the bus will pick you up.
Spotting Your Bus
Every bus has a route name displayed over the windshield and the passenger side of the vehicle. Be sure it is the bus you want before depositing your fare. Ask the driver if you are not sure.
Catching Your Bus
When you see the bus you want, signal the driver. Be sure to signal in time for him or her to make a safe stop. The driver will pull over to the curb.
