SDSMT Bus Route

Rapid Ride has a special route made especially for the South Dakota School of Mines’ students. Effective Jan. 12, the route has arrival and departure times throughout the school week. View the schedule here.

Individual rides for students are $1.50 –or– 10 rides for $13.50.

Frequent riders will save even more with the special student monthly pass for only $20. The monthly pass is $30 for non-students.

Students with children need not worry about paying extra. As with our other routes, children four years old or under ride free.

Holiday Service Schedule

We will be closed Monday, December 26, 2011 in observance of Christmas and we will be closed Monday, January 2, 2012 in observance of New Year’s.

We will run our regular hours on Saturday, December 24 and Saturday, December 31.

We are still not running on Canyon Lake Drive due to the construction. The bus will lay over in the parking lot for the ball diamonds just south of Canyon Lake Drive. This is a different spot for the lay over now, but the approximate time will be the same.

Canyon Lake Drive Construction

Until further notice, the Jackson Boulevard loop of the Borglum route will not service Canyon Lake Drive or Jackson Boulevard west of 32nd Street.

Instead, the route will continue North on Soo San Drive and turn around across from West Middle School at approximately 11 minutes past the hour.

The bus will then travel South on 32nd Street back to Jackson Boulevard. The bus reaches a temporary stop south of Canyon Lake Drive on 32nd street at 12 minutes after the hour.
